Furthermore, the users of Facebook Messenger will also be able to easily manage their notification settings and choose when to show them. The new app will also let the users add people to any conversation as well as change the photo or the name of a group.

There are some improvements that will be noted in the new Facebook Messenger app for Windows Phone. According to the developers, stickers will now be able to load faster and in a more reliable manner.

At the moment, these are the only major changes and improvements that have been included in this Messenger app for Windows Phone. Nexus 5 (2013): Specs

The Nexus 5 (2013) came with an 4.96inch True HD IPS+ capacitive touchscreen that supports a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels at 445ppi. The device features a Quad-core Krait 400 clocked at 2.3GHz, an Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB of RAM and has an internal storage of 16GB or 32GB. The Nexus 5 (2013) comes with a non-removable Li-Po 2300 Ah battery which gets „wasted” pretty fast. This means that your device will barely withstand for an entire day if you are surfing the internet or playing games. In addition, the battery can’t be changed, which is a big downside.

Rumors say that the Nexus 5 (2015) will feature a 2700 mAh battery, but that’s not enough for this device. To make sure that the Nexus 5 (2015) will last an entire day without any problems, the developers will need to bring a battery of at least 3000 mAh.

Another feature that needs to be improved is the internal storage. The Nexus 5 (2013) features two variants of 16GB and 32GB and neither of them can be expanded. The Nexus 5 (2015) will most likely feature 64GB internal storage, but in order to please all the Nexus fans, the developers will have to introduce a microSD card slot.

Nexus 5 (2015) is expected to be released this fall, sometime in October or November. It is rumored that Google will release two Nexus devices, one that will be the successor of Nexus 6 and will be made by Huawei (codenamed „Huawei Angler) and the Nexus 5 (2015) that will be made by LG (codenamed „LG Bullhead”).

Motorola’s fate suddenly changed for the better, after collaborating with Google to create the Nexus 6 phablet. This phone is 1 inch larger than the previous Nexus, but some phablets fans believe that Motorola made a mistake by not adding a pen stylus to help people with small hands to easily operate on the screen, and that the device feels kind of uncomfortable to hold, because of its thickness. The Moto X second generation, on the other hand, is the source of inspiration for Nexus 6’s design, but it has weaker specs.

Designs and displays

The Moto X 2014 has a 5.2inches AMOLED display that is able to support a decent resolution of 1080×1920 pixels at 424ppi and you won’t need to worry about the fine scratches because the device has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top of the screen, for protection. As for the design, you will be happy to find out that there’s a program that allows you to customize the cover and you’ll find plenty variants on motorola.com/us/motomaker (leather, wood or even bamboo and various colors for the plastic variants). The Nexus 6 is 0.1mm thicker than the Moto X 2014 and has weird asymmetrical bezels.

Hardware and OS

The Nexus 6 has better specs, and at the time when it was released, the latest Qualcomm chipset was Snapdragon 805 and it was built on 32bit architecture. On this SoC was integrated a quad-core 2.7GHz Krait 450 processor that was paired with Adreno 420 graphics and 3GB of RAM, having the same combination as Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 and Edge.

The Moto X 2014 has the previous MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset with a quad-core 2.5GHz Krait 400 processor that is backed by Adreno 330 graphics and 2GB of RAM, and has internal variants with capacities of 16, 32 or 64GB, but neither the Moto X nor the Nexus 6 come with a microSD card slot for expansion.

Both phones are upgradable to Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Cameras

Both models have cameras with the same resolutions: 13MP on the back and 2MP on the front and they’re utilizing dual-LED flash, but the Nexus 6 has additional features such as optical image stabilization and dual recording.

Prices

The Moto X 2014 can be bought from Amazon at the price of 300 dollars (16GB), while the Nexus 6 32GB costs around 500 dollars.

Recent phones from the Korean company have been a major step up in terms of quality and features. This was the case with the LG G3, which became one of the first to sport a 2K display. The replacement for this device comes in the form of the LG G4.

Design

Just like the numerous features on the LG G4, it is evolutionary rather than revolutionary compared with its predecessor. Quality has been improved on the LG G4 compared to the LG G3, but the changes are not like day and night. This 808 processor combines a quad-core 1.4 GHz processor along with a dual-core 1.8 GHz processor to provide excellent speed.

Versions

The LG G3 was sold in two different versions depending upon the amount of RAM available. While the 16 GB device only had 2 GB of RAM, the 32 GB model came with 3 GB at its disposal. LG has completely done away with the 16 GB version and now offers the G4 with only 32 GB and 3 GB of RAM configuration. Since 3G is seen as the least requirement for a high-end smartphone running on Android, this should take care of the memory requirements within the OS. For other additional purposes, the phone can support microSD cards of up to 128 GB. This feature remains comparable with the LG G3.

The popular file hosting service just updated its Android version and you can get it from the Google Play store. In case your device won’t “see” it, it means that it will be available for you in the following days. The new version comes with new features and we’ll tell you about them below.

If you own an Android mobile device, with Dropbox you will create a special folder and move there all the files that you want to be stored in the cloud. The hosting service will sync these files and you’ll have access to them from any Android device that you’d use, by logging into your account. This means that you’ll need to install the application, register to Dropbox and opt for a Dropbox Basic account and get 2GB of free storage, or you can upgrade to Dropbox Pro plan and get 1TB of storage, but you’ll pay €9.99/month (around $12) or €99/year (around $111). The Business Plan will charge you €12/month (over $13) and you’ll give permission to up to 5 users to have access to your data.

Besides Android, Dropbox supports devices running on iOS, BlackBerry OS, Windows Phone, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, and it’s an official port to Symbian and MeeGo. The new version for Android, 3.0, brought some changes to app’s appearance, which is “better, faster and more usable”. Dropbox uses now Material Design mantra, which was presented in June 2014, at Google’s I/O conference and if you analyze it in detail, you will notice the other important changes.

You will see that the folders feature a “+” button whose role is to allow you to take photos while you’re inside that folder and save them there. This way, you won’t occupy space on your phone, because the photos you’re taking are automatically uploaded to Dropbox.

Also, in the top menu you’ll see a new search icon which will help you to find files and content within the documents you’re storing on Dropbox. And to navigate through folders, you’ll just swipe left/right.

Other changed that were done to the version 3.0: you’ll find sharing controls and file actions (related to moving, favoring and renaming) in the same place, in the info pane, while the file list contains file and folder locations, shared folder members and modification dates.

Google’s Nexus 5 handset is the launch that everybody is waiting for. With the first generation having been launched back in 2013, the second generation of Google Nexus 5 is expected to roll out in the near future.

This new 2015 Nexus 5 device will come out with stellar features and specs. The first and foremost update will target the display. This will be a 2K one and will top the 1080×1920 pixel one which came out with the release of the 2013 variant.

Next in line is the processor. The first generation came out with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, but the second one will sport a Snapdragon 810. This is the newest and the fastest processor developed by Qualcomm. But some believe Google will make some changes and pick the Snapdragon 808 and not the 810. This remains to be seen, though.

The camera will also be update to 13 MP. This is way more than the original version had (8MP). And this leads us to the obvious question: Who will manufacture the Nexus 5 (2015) device? Some claim it will be LG, which was also in charge of the 2013 Nexus device. Allegedly, this gizmo will also roll out with an iris scanner feature. If this is true, we will be definitely looking at an innovative device that will sweep the fingerprint scanner under the rug.

Moving on to the launch date of the Nexus 5 (2015), as usual Google hasn’t leaked anything about the upcoming launch of the Nexus 5. But, according to some innuendos Google might be getting ready to release the device either in the month of October or November.

But, the latter device is not the only big launch that Google is planning to have this year. Users should also keep their eyes open for the Nexus 6 inauguration (presumably built by Huawei a.k.a the “Angler”). It will sport a 5.7 inch display (a bit smaller than its predecessor the Nexus 6, the 2014 version). Once these handsets roll out, they will have to face the iPhone 6S devices, which will function on the newest OS launched by Google, Android M.
